The workshop will be held at the Common Knowledge Centre close to the fabulous Burren, County Clare on the west coast of Ireland where we will walk every afternoon. The venue’s website blurb says:
“Common Knowledge is an award-winning, non-profit social enterprise located at the gateway to the Burren, on Ireland’s beautiful Wild Atlantic Way. We share skills in building, making, mending and growing, because we believe that between us all, we have the knowledge needed to create a truly sustainable future. Based on 50 acres, our Centre is a haven for learning, exploring and connection with other people, offering serene accommodation for people and groups. Our renowned resident chefs are passionate about creating wholesome, delicious food to suit all event types. Our dedication to sustainability means that whenever possible, we use locally sourced, organic and seasonal produce, as well as the harvest from our organic permaculture garden. We hold a wine licence and have a range of thoughtfully selected natural and organic wines to compliment our menu.”

You will probably share a room with one other person or, in the case of Early Career Researchers (ECRs), be in a small dormitory. The menu will be vegetarian, but there will be a meal at a local pub on the final night where meat-eaters can recover!
